Nils Karl Sørensen works in the field of regional and international economics. His work and publications focus on patterns related to trade and growth in a regional perspective, especially issues of clusters and innovation. He has also worked with tourism development in regional development. Nils Karl Sørensen is Associate Professor Emeritus and has been an associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark since 2001, with teaching at the universities of Esbjerg, Sønderborg, Odense and at the European University in Flensburg. His publication list includes around 75 scientific articles, etc.
