Citizen contact
CITIZEN CONTACT A study with the aim of shedding light on citizens' experience of municipal contact, information and communication, as well as the possibilities for participation in political processes. The study took place as part of the updating of the municipality's communication strategies and communication solutions. Conducted for a number of municipalities. By providing clear, welcoming and efficient service and contact, the municipality ensures citizen satisfaction, a positive reputation and more efficient administration. MUNICIPAL SERVICE A study with the aim of shedding light on citizens' satisfaction with contact and service in Citizen Service. The study also aimed to uncover differences between service areas, contact channels and contact addresses. The study contributed to developing the offers and services that Citizen Service provides within different areas. Good citizen service is an important component of the relationship between citizens and the municipality. Good citizen service creates trust, solves problems and makes the municipality's services accessible. CITIZENS ABOUT THE LIBRARY OF THE FUTURE Studies on how children, young people and adults use the library and what wishes they have for its future development. Through questions about behavior, knowledge of services, use of physical and digital materials as well as participation in events and use of the library space, a picture of the citizens' needs and experiences is drawn. The purpose was to strengthen the library's role as a relevant and attractive service for all age groups. This is important for the municipality because the library is a central cultural institution that contributes to learning and quality of life. EVALUATION OF TELEPHONE CITIZEN SERVICE Test of the municipal telephone service, with the aim of shedding light on the accessibility and service culture that citizens encounter when they call the municipality. The test documents waiting times, transfers, contact establishment and service culture in practice. The study shows strengths and weaknesses in the municipality's telephone service. Good telephone citizen service ensures that citizens receive answers and guidance quickly - especially in situations where digital solutions are not sufficient. This creates security and trust, which strengthens the citizens' experience of the municipality as accessible. JOB CENTER USER EXPERIENCES A survey of a Job Center on the users' experiences, satisfaction and assessments of their contact with the job center. The survey included both questionnaire responses and telephone interviews with citizens who had been in contact with the center. The survey mapped, among other things, the users' experience of being met with respect and relevant help - as well as whether they felt supported on their way to a job or education. For the municipality, this knowledge is important because a well-functioning job center is crucial for the citizens' living situation, the municipality's social efforts and to ensure an effective and empathetic employment effort. The results provided a basis for improvements and a more citizen-centered approach to employment efforts. JOB CENTER USER FEEDBACK AND LEARNING Daily user measurement as a permanent fixture (iPad Kiosk solution) for feedback after attending the job center. The job centre user provides 1-2 minute feedback after each visit, and the results are forwarded in real time to departments and operational management. This created insight based on good and less good experiences, with follow-up as input for shared learning. The results provided documentation of the users' experiences and constituted a tool for understanding and quality development with the citizen at the center. For the municipality, the job centre is important for reducing expenses for support, strengthening the local labour market and promoting social well-being. THE MUNICIPALITY'S DIGITAL CHANNELS Study focusing on how citizens experience and evaluate communication with the municipality, which channels citizens prefer in connection with different types of inquiries, and how citizens experience the municipality's information on the different channels. The study contributed to the work with the digital channels, based on the municipality's own objectives of proximity, comprehensibility and coherence. The municipality's digital channels make it easy for citizens to find information, solve tasks and get in touch with the municipality - regardless of time and place. They increase accessibility, streamline case processing and strengthen communication between the municipality and citizens. COMMUNICATION AND CONTACT WITH THE MUNICIPALITY Study with the aim of shedding light on behaviour, motives and preferences, as well as identifying strengths and weaknesses in the municipality's communication and citizen contact. This was done by, among other things, shedding light on citizens' use, experience and satisfaction with information/communication and contact experiences. The result provided an overview of preferred media, strengths and weaknesses in information and citizen contact, respectively, as well as insight into the behaviour, assessments and preferences of different citizen segments. Good communication with citizens strengthens commitment, cohesion and trust in the municipality.

Settlement
CITIZENS ON LIVING IN THE MUNICIPALITY A survey with the purpose of assessing the attractiveness and the municipality's special characteristics. The survey was to show where the municipality stood strong as a settlement municipality, and where the challenges were. The survey highlighted citizens' perceptions of the municipality and assessments of a number of factors that research shows are important for the experience of quality of life. Including factors such as housing, social network, leisure activities, jobs and education. Living in an area that one finds attractive is important for thriving in life, and attractive municipalities have an easier time attracting resourceful citizens and thus creating growth and welfare. When citizens are satisfied with living in a municipality, their well-being, commitment and desire to stay increases. This strengthens the local community, attracts new citizens and contributes to stable population development. CITIZENS ON THE MUNICIPALITY AS A PLACE TO LIVE AND A SERVICE PROVIDER A survey that mapped citizens' satisfaction with the municipality as a place to live and with the municipality's service areas. The survey highlighted, among other things: safety, nature, housing conditions, job opportunities, public transport, cultural and leisure activities as well as services within elderly care, schools, childcare and waste. The results show what citizens value and what they are more critical of. For the municipality, this type of knowledge is important because it provides a fact-based basis for priorities and political decisions. The survey functions as a strategic "radar" that clarifies citizens' needs and expectations and thus supports a more targeted, citizen-friendly and sustainable development of the municipality. CHILDREN AND YOUTH POLICY Study with the aim of obtaining input from families with children into the municipality's children and youth policy and helping to define a good life for children and youth. The study was to provide insight into citizens' opinions on pedagogical and general educational principles and how such principles can be put into practice. In this way, a policy development was to be ensured where not only experts and politicians set the agenda. Involving families with children in the development of children and youth policy ensures that the policy reflects citizens' needs, experiences and wishes. This strengthens the quality of the solutions, creates ownership and increases engagement. EVALUATION OF CULTURE NIGHT A study on citizens' participation, experiences and assessments of the municipality's Culture Night. Data was collected on which activities the participants engaged in, what impressions and highlights they experienced and why some chose not to participate. The study showed that the atmosphere, life in the city, cultural experiences and community were particularly valued. This knowledge is important for the municipality because events such as a Culture Night strengthen the city's cultural life, sense of community and identity. The results provided a basis for further developing the event, increasing citizen engagement and ensuring that cultural initiatives meet different needs and age groups. This contributes to a vibrant and attractive municipality. PRELIMINARY STUDY FOR THE CULTURE HOUSE OF THE FUTURE A study to shed light on citizens' cultural consumption, interests and needs in connection with the various challenges and opportunities that will shape the physical facilities of the future, such as a library or culture house. The study qualified habits, wishes and facility needs as a basis for decisions on activity profiles, user groups, functions and collaborations. The provision of cultural experiences is important to many citizens and something most municipalities prioritize highly. Investments in cultural facilities such as extensions or new buildings require thorough preparation, in which citizens can be usefully involved. INTEGRATION OF NEW CITIZENS A study that dealt with citizens' experiences and attitudes in the encounter between different cultures - especially the relationship between new Danes and other citizens in the municipality. Through questions about national background, daily contact and mutual experiences, the study sheds light on both strengths, challenges and potential in cultural interaction. The purpose is to give the municipality and politicians a solid, informed basis for working with integration, well-being and security in the local community. The topic is important because peaceful coexistence and understanding across cultures are crucial for a well-functioning and inclusive local community, where everyone feels part of the community. KNOWLEDGE AND USE OF THE MUNICIPALITY'S CULTURAL LIFE Cultural survey with the aim of gaining insight into citizens' knowledge, use and satisfaction with the municipality's cultural offerings among children, young people and adults of all ages. The survey mapped knowledge, use, experience and satisfaction with the cultural offerings, as well as wishes for the development of cultural offerings. The survey provided the municipality and politicians with knowledge that qualified and inspired the development of cultural life. In addition, the survey could be used by the selected cultural actors for learning and developing their own services. Cultural life creates community, identity and quality of life for citizens and makes the municipality more attractive

Urban development
DANISH STATION CITIES This case is about the development of Danish station cities and is based on a study project supported by the Danish Transport, Building and Housing Authority. The purpose is to understand and strengthen the role of station cities in the future of Denmark. Although their heyday as traffic hubs is over, station cities still have great value – both historically, functionally and as a framework for community and identity. However, many station cities today experience worn-out main streets and a lack of life and meeting places, while residential environments on the outskirts thrive. The case highlights the need for strategic thinking, scenario tools and understanding of megatrends such as urbanization, sustainability and local production. It is important to choose solutions that fit the development potential of the individual city and to build on the special character of the cities. The project shows design scenarios and typologies to equip the cities for the future. CITY CENTERS IN DENMARK This case is about a comprehensive screening of 31 city centers in Southern Denmark, carried out by the Planning Group and JWH Architects for the Region of Southern Denmark. The purpose is to assess the identity, attractiveness and urban life of the city centres. Most city centres appear dynamic and varied with strong architectural and atmospheric qualities. At the same time, many face challenges such as empty shops, SLOAP areas and fragmented urban spaces – especially in smaller towns. New functions such as cafés and cultural centres contribute to life, but cannot alone ensure year-round activation. There is broad investment in urban development, from beautification to major transformations. Port areas are being reintegrated into urban life, but transition zones between city and port continue to create barriers. The case is important because it provides knowledge about the current state of the city centres and points to the need for strategic, site-sensitive development throughout the region. USER WORKSHOP FOR KU This case is about a user workshop arranged by the Planning Group for the University of Copenhagen in connection with the planning of the Copenhagen Plant Science Center. The workshop brought together 40 user representatives and the project's advisors with the aim of aligning expectations and creating a common understanding of the project's conceptual basis and complexity. The project was to combine high demands for laboratory use with the desire for an open and inspiring research environment. The workshop created space for dialogue and joint reflection, which provided insight into both needs, opportunities and barriers. This is important because such an early and inclusive process strengthens collaboration, minimizes conflicts and increases the chance that the finished building will meet both practical and visionary goals. CITY STRATEGIES IN DIALOGUE This case is about Sønderborg Municipality's collaboration with local citizens to develop city strategies for nine cities, with a special focus on Augustenborg. In collaboration with the Planning Group, the process was initiated with a citizen panel survey and an open workshop with 300 citizens, business representatives, associations and 15 politicians – including the mayor. The purpose was to create a shared understanding of the city's identity and wishes for the future. The citizens' stories, visions and existing local initiatives were put into play as the basis for the strategic plan. The case is important because it shows how involvement and dialogue can strengthen ownership and common direction in local development – and how co-creation between citizens and the municipality can create more realistic, anchored and ambitious urban strategies. PART-TIME HOUSING This case is about a research project carried out by the Planning Group with support from the Danish Business Authority's Rural Development Fund, in collaboration with Tønder and Langeland Municipalities. The project investigates how part-time residence – that is, people who use a home in remote areas as a secondary residence – affects the local community. The results show that part-time residents can be a valuable resource for remote municipalities: They invest in housing, use local craftsmen and want to be part of the local community. Many are considering becoming permanent residents. At the same time, local communities are positive, but not always aware of how part-time residents can contribute. The case is important because it introduces a new way of understanding and developing rural areas, where part-time housing is seen as an opportunity – not just as a problem or a passive form of housing. UPGRADING A GHETTO-DISTRICTED NEIGHBORHOOD This case is about the transformation of Høje Kolstrup in Aabenraa from a ghetto-like district into an attractive and well-functioning residential area. Through close cooperation between Aabenraa Municipality, the housing organization SALUS, residents and associations, physical and social comprehensive plans and area renewal have been implemented. The district has experienced a markedly positive development based on co-creation, local roots and long-term commitment – from political level to citizen initiatives. An important part of the effort has been to strengthen networks across housing types and create joint ownership of activities and well-being.

Plan and development
CITIZENS' USE OF THE CITY CENTER A study on citizens' use, experience and wishes for the city center. It examined how the city center is used for, for example, shopping, library visits and experiences – as well as citizens' satisfaction with conditions such as shopping, cleanliness, café offerings and opportunities for living. The study indicated that the city center functions well for grocery shopping and as a clean urban space, but lacked life, coziness and experience qualities. This knowledge is important for the municipality because the city center is a central gathering point that affects both commercial life, urban life and the well-being of citizens. The results provided a concrete basis for targeting urban development, strengthening local attractiveness and creating a more vibrant and attractive center. CITIZENS' USE OF RETAIL Access to relevant shopping opportunities is a high priority for citizens, and has an influence on the choice of settlement. The purpose of the study was to map households' shopping habits and preferences, and provide knowledge for strategies for developing retail trade. Including mapping where citizens buy what, including identifying geographical, store and other preferences. The study focused on where and how often citizens buy groceries and specialty items, as well as the motives underlying their shopping habits. The study provided a basis for prioritizing the retail structure and efforts in the municipality's cities, with a view to strengthening relevant shopping opportunities for the municipality's citizens. A well-functioning retail creates life in the cities, accessible shopping opportunities and local jobs. It attracts both citizens and visitors, strengthens the local economy and contributes to attractive urban environments. RESIDENTIAL ALAYSE AND HOUSING NEEDS Study on citizens' moving patterns, housing choices and housing wishes - including reasons for moving in and out, desired housing types, ownership forms and location. The study provided insight into what attracts citizens to the municipality, what they are looking for in a home and what considerations they have about future moves. This knowledge is important for the municipality because it can support targeted urban and housing development that matches the needs and wishes of citizens. It also contributes to retaining and attracting citizens, strengthening the settlement strategy and planning future residential areas. RECYCLING AND WASTE A survey that examined citizens' knowledge of and use of the municipality's waste and recycling schemes, as well as their wishes and preferences in relation to waste disposal. It was conducted among citizens divided into different housing types and examined both actual and preferred behavior, as well as information search and attitudes towards possible new schemes. Waste management is a central municipal task with significance for both the environment, citizens and the municipality's operations. The survey gave the municipality valuable insight into the potential for increased recycling, better information efforts and the development of more sustainable waste solutions. LOCAL URBAN AND AREA DEVELOPMENT A survey with the aim of shedding light on citizens' views on the municipality's various cities and local areas, as part of the plans for the development of local areas and local cities. In continuation of this, debate meetings were held with citizens, with the aim of creating dialogue between citizens and the municipality. The model for the debate meetings was developed by the Planning Group, which was responsible for holding the first debate meeting. The results of the studies were used as a basis for involvement in political work. In addition, the project provided an opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between citizens, politicians and the administration in the collaboration to create social, cultural and economic local development. Citizen involvement in local urban development ensures that the solutions match local needs and wishes. This creates greater ownership, better decisions and increases the chance of broad support. NATURE USE AND LANDSCAPE ANALYSIS A study that dealt with citizens' experience and use of the municipality's nature and landscapes. The purpose was to collect quantitative and qualitative knowledge about which natural areas citizens use, what they value about them and what improvements they see potential for. Nature plays an important role in citizens' quality of life, leisure and health, and it is therefore crucial for the municipality to understand how it is used and experienced in everyday life. The results gave the municipality a stronger basis for planning and developing the open landscapes - in line with the citizens' wishes and needs. This not only strengthens the role of nature in everyday life, but also contributes to better public health and sustainable management of the municipality's green assets.

Climate and sustainability
CITIZENS' HOLDINGS AND ACTIONS ON THE CLIMATE AREA A study that mapped citizens' attitudes, actions and barriers in relation to climate, energy and sustainability. It focused in particular on housing, transport and consumption and examined, among other things, citizens' energy consumption, climate adaptation, choice of transport modes and knowledge of municipal climate initiatives. The study provided insight into what citizens themselves do, what prevents them from doing more, and where they see responsibility and opportunities - both for themselves, the municipality and society as a whole. This knowledge is important for the municipality because citizens' daily choices have a major impact on CO₂ emissions and the effect of climate initiatives. The results can be used to target information, support schemes and cooperation initiatives that promote citizens' participation in the green transition and strengthen the municipality's overall sustainability strategy. SUSTAINABLE CITY, SURVEYS AND REPORTS A study that measures citizens' experiences and well-being in the municipality over time - with a focus on community, accessibility, sustainability and quality of life. The survey covers, among other things, social relations, access to culture, nature and urban space, as well as the experience of the districts' ability to support a sustainable lifestyle. It provides the municipality with knowledge about developments in citizens' daily lives and attitudes. This knowledge is important for the municipality because it forms the basis for adjusting efforts and planning towards greater sustainability. SUSTAINABILITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY Sustainable development must ensure the current needs of citizens and at the same time prepare us for the future. Addressing known trends is important, but with which strategies and in what order? A survey was conducted with the aim of giving the city council insight into which strategies citizens see as most relevant in order to gain input for their own discussions, decisions and priorities. The survey asked questions about societal trends and possible strategies for addressing future challenges and opportunities. Finally, a subsequent workshop in the city council on sustainability was facilitated. KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS LOCAL CLIMATE PROGRAMS The survey on citizens' attitudes, habits and actions in relation to climate, sustainability and the municipality's own climate initiatives. It mapped the extent to which citizens feel concerned about climate change, what climate-friendly changes they have made in their everyday lives and how familiar they are with the municipality's climate efforts. The survey showed that many citizens are committed and want to live more climate-friendly, but also that knowledge of the municipality's efforts varies. For the municipality, this knowledge is important because citizens' active participation and support are crucial to the success of the green transition. The survey provides a solid basis for targeting information, strengthening citizens' motivation and developing initiatives that are in line with citizens' needs and everyday lives. CLIMATE AND ENERGY SAVINGS A survey on citizens' knowledge, attitudes and behavior in relation to energy use and energy savings in private households. The survey mapped citizens' knowledge of energy options, their current consumption habits and any plans for energy improvements. The purpose was to give the municipality a clear picture of citizens' understanding and commitment to the energy area. The topic is important because energy-efficient homes not only benefit the climate and environment, but also contribute to lower energy consumption and increased local employment. The results provided the municipality with a valuable basis for targeting information, support schemes and cooperation initiatives that promote sustainable and energy-conscious development in the local community. CLIMATE, CONSUMPTION AND ENVIRONMENT Study on citizens' attitudes towards the environment and climate change, as well as their habits and actions in relation to energy consumption, transport and indoor climate. The survey uncovered both attitudes towards global climate challenges and concrete actions such as insulation, ventilation and energy savings in the home. The purpose was to give the municipality a nuanced picture of citizens' behavior and perceptions so that it can plan targeted efforts and communication. The topic is important because climate and environment are a shared responsibility, and because citizens' actions have a major impact on the municipality's overall sustainability. Knowledge about habits and potentials enables the municipality to support green transition - for the benefit of the environment, the economy and the citizens' quality of life.

Mobility and traffic
CYCLE HELMET USE AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE The study was about the use of bicycle helmets among young people aged 13-15 and 21-23, with a focus on identifying the factors that influence their choice to wear a helmet. The purpose was to create knowledge that can support targeted efforts to increase safety among young cyclists, as many are injured – and some lose their lives – in traffic every year. The study was based on data from approximately 4,000 young people over three years and analyzed using multivariate methods and cross-tabulation. The results provided insight into differences between users and non-users, and showed, among other things, that the role of parents as role models is of great importance for young people's behavior. Knowledge from this can be used in campaigns and prevention work, which makes the study important for both municipalities, schools and organizations working with road safety and young people's behavior. CYCLING IN THE MUNICIPALITY The survey was about citizens' cycling habits and experiences as cyclists in the municipality. The purpose was to create a detailed overview of cyclists' mobility and transport choices to support a more targeted and effective effort to promote cycling. The survey included questions about the use of bicycles by purpose and season, citizens' knowledge of and experience of cycling facilities, as well as motives and barriers to choosing bicycles in everyday life. The results provided the municipality with valuable knowledge about both the status and development of cycling behavior and made it possible to document the effect of previous initiatives. At the same time, the survey provided a good basis for planning new, targeted efforts that can get even more citizens to choose bicycles. THE NATIONAL DRIVER TRACKER The National Driver Tracker survey aims to provide the authorities with ongoing knowledge about Danish drivers' behavior, attitudes and experiences in traffic, with a focus on road safety. The survey was conducted as an online survey that collected data for national samples on a quarterly basis. It was maintained for 8 years and makes it possible to follow the effect of campaigns, legislation and technological initiatives over time. The results are used by the Council for Safe Traffic and the National Police and are an important tool for targeting and evaluating traffic safety efforts. For both the state and the municipality, this knowledge is crucial for reducing the number of accidents, improving traffic behavior and creating a basis for effective information and control campaigns. The database makes it possible to analyze across time and geography, which strengthens the decision-making basis and preventive work. TRAFFIC RISK PROFILE OF BUSINESS INDUSTRY The development project was about developing a system that helped companies improve traffic safety among their employees. The goal was to reduce work accidents, sick days, vehicle damage and fuel consumption, as well as strengthen the company's image. The solution consisted of a digital tool with standardized questions and algorithms that calculated the company's risk profile in areas such as speed, seat belt use, inattention and alcohol. The system collected data, compared it with similar companies and automatically generated a finished report with recommendations for improvements. The solution made it possible for several companies to work systematically with traffic safety. This can contribute to fewer traffic accidents, increased safety for employees and more sustainable transport behavior. PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE MUNICIPALITY The study was about citizens' use, knowledge and satisfaction with public transport in the municipality. The purpose was to gain knowledge about how citizens use buses, trains and S-trains – as well as what motives and barriers influence their transport choices. The study shed light on usage patterns, satisfaction levels and wishes for improvements. The results gave the municipality a solid basis for developing and targeting efforts for public transport so that more citizens are motivated and able to use it. This is important because public transport reduces congestion, reduces environmental impact and creates safer and more sustainable mobility – while being crucial for those who do not have access to a car. MOBILITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY A study that looked at citizens' mobility in everyday life and their experience of traffic conditions in the municipality. The purpose was to create updated and local knowledge about how mobility is affected by demographics, environmental concerns, commuting patterns and citizens' own preferences. Based on both Danish and international experience, the Planning Group developed a measurement that sheds light on citizens' distances to daily tasks, their choice of modes of transport and their experience as a driver, cyclist, pedestrian and user of public transport. The study provides municipalities, planners and transport providers with important knowledge that can be used to adjust and improve the current infrastructure - and to plan future mobility in line with citizens' needs and political goals. HEALTHY SCHOOL ROUTE The Healthy School Route project aims to promote active school transport - such as cycling and walking - among children, to increase daily movement and health. Despite previous efforts, many families still choose the car, even for short distances. To understand the background, a large survey was conducted with 11,000 students and parents in 9 municipalities, supplemented by interviews and feedback from school principals. The result was a report with specific recommendations for municipalities and advisors. The survey shows that transport choices are driven by security, habits and everyday logistics – not just health and climate. For the municipalities, the project provides important knowledge that can be used to develop more targeted and effective initiatives for active transport. It strengthens cross-sectoral cooperation and contributes to healthier, safer and more sustainable school routes. TRANSPORT AND MOBILITY IN EVERYDAY LIFE The survey was about citizens' transport habits, motives for choosing a means of transport and experienced traffic safety in the municipality. The purpose was to create insight into how citizens move around in everyday life in connection with work, children, shopping and leisure – and how they experience the infrastructure in their local area. The survey shed light on, among other things, transport needs, distances, preferences and experienced traffic-dangerous places. The results provided the municipality and the police with important knowledge about mobility patterns, barriers and wishes that can be used to promote sustainable forms of transport such as public transport and cycling. At the same time, the citizens' feedback provided valuable insight into where traffic safety can be improved and where municipal traffic and infrastructure planning can be beneficial. YOUNG PEOPLE'S AND PARENTS' TRAFFIC ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR The study was about the attitudes and behavior of young people and their parents in traffic, with a focus on how parents influence young people's traffic habits and risk behavior. The purpose was to map the connection between young people's and parents' attitudes and to follow the development over time, as young people have a high risk of traffic accidents and the role of parents is crucial in developing good traffic habits. The study was conducted annually over 8 years via telephone and online interviews (CAWI) with a representative sample of young people and parents. It examined transport habits, risk behavior (such as speeding, alcohol, seat belt use and inattention), the role model effect and education. The results have given traffic authorities deep insight into how the interaction between young people and their parents affects traffic behavior and have formed the basis for developing and evaluating interventions that can increase traffic safety among young people.

Business climate
DIALOGUE WITH BUSINESS MANAGEMENT The Business Dialogue project deals with companies' experience of the business climate and the dialogue with the municipality. Through questionnaires and follow-up interviews, a number of companies provided input on business friendliness, case processing, job placement, infrastructure, settlement image and wishes for future development. Strengths and challenges were identified. This was important knowledge for the municipality because it provided concrete insight into how local companies experience the cooperation with the municipality and what can be improved. The results could be used to strengthen the dialogue with the business community, attract and retain companies and target the municipality's business policy efforts. TECHNICAL CASE PROCESSING Studies on companies' experience of the municipality's case processing in areas such as construction, spatial planning, environmental supervision, water and roads. The surveys measured, among other things, satisfaction with the municipality's communication, professionalism, cooperation with advisors, case processing time and alignment of expectations. The surveys revealed where there was satisfaction and where there was a need for improvements. For the municipality, this is important knowledge because good business services are crucial for attracting and retaining companies, creating growth and ensuring effective and trusting cooperation between the municipality and the business community. The studies provided a concrete basis for improving and targeting municipal case processing and service. BUSINESS CLIMATE AND BUSINESS SERVICE The study of the municipality's business community concerned how local companies experience doing business in the municipality. The study examined, among other things, satisfaction with location, business climate, the municipality's service and dialogue, as well as contact with the job center, building matters, the environment and other professional areas. It showed in which areas there was satisfaction and where there were challenges. For the municipality, this was important knowledge, as it provided insight into the business community's needs, challenges and expectations. The results can be used to improve dialogue, service and framework conditions for companies and thus strengthen the municipality's business friendliness. BUSINESS COMMUNITY'S NEED FOR NETWORKING A study that mapped the local companies' needs for networking, cooperation and sparring. The results showed how many companies had sought advice and how many were already participating in networks. The study demonstrated a need among small companies for networks, with a focus on, for example, sales, marketing, sustainability and digitalization. The study gave the municipality insight into how to best support the local business community, strengthen cooperation between companies and promote local growth through networks. BUSINESS LOCATION AND SPACE NEEDS A study that mapped local companies' assessment of their current location in the municipality's business areas. The study highlighted satisfaction, challenges, space needs, expansion plans and considerations about relocation. The study also showed which factors companies value most when choosing a location. For the municipality, this was important knowledge because it provides insight into the business community's location needs. The results are used as a basis for municipal planning and development of business areas, so that the municipality can retain and attract companies. BUSINESS AND BUSINESS PROMOTION A study that mapped the business community's need for sparring, advice and business promotion activities. It examined needs by company size – which showed that larger companies have more recognized challenges, while smaller ones often need inspiration. It showed where the greatest unmet needs were. The study also showed that many companies use private offers rather than public ones – partly due to a lack of knowledge of municipal offers. For the municipality, this knowledge is important because it provides a concrete basis for targeting and improving business services. By understanding the companies better, the municipality can support growth and local job creation more effectively. BUSINESS EVALUATION OF MUNICIPAL EVENT The study is about the business community’s experience of a major event held in the municipality. The purpose was to shed light on how local companies experienced the effect of the event, e.g. in the form of more customers, increased turnover and general visibility. The study showed that over half of the companies had customers related to the event, and that around 6 out of 10 of these experienced increased turnover. There was also massive support for both the hosting and the desire to attract similar events in the future. For the municipality, this is important knowledge because major events can strengthen the local economy, increase tourism and create positive publicity.
