JAN W. HANSEN

Throughout his many years of experience with architecture, urban design and planning, Jan W. Hansen has always emphasized combining theory and practice, knowledge and ability. As a professor, he has been head of Architecture and Urban Design at Aarhus School of Architecture. In this context he has been responsible for teaching, theory formation, knowledge-building and specific architectural development projects. As owner and day-to-day head of a development-oriented design studio - JWH Arkitekter - he has been responsible for numerous award winning, national and international, ideas competitions as well as several built projects from urban to building scale. Jan W. Hansen is a speaker and specialist judge in competitions on a regular basis.
